SCOTUS - Youngstown Sheet & Tube Co. V. Sawyer

Description:

The Supreme Court of the United States stands as an integral intersection between law, politics, and executive power. During the height of the Korean War, 1952, steelworkers believed that they were being undervalued. A desire for higher wages and a mixture of complications with working environments forced workers to go on a Steelworkers Strike. President Truman believed that for the betterment of the country, a seizure of steel mills was needed. In this committee, delegates will be challenged to cooperate and collaborate to decide the ruling of President Truman’s actions. Will you help the workers or agree with the President’s actions?
